Westfield area plans springtime shopping party
A community's downtown core often serves as an activity hub, and one in the Westfield area will be welcoming kids for an event this weekend.
The shops and services that make up the Cranford Downtown business community will be hopping to it with a special day of fun for the little ones. While they enjoy themselves, their parents or guardians can rediscover what these small businesses have to offer, and the fee to take part is $10.
Each child registered can pick up their Spring Hop tote bag, which will be printed with a festive graphic design. They will be able to use this to hold the eggs they collect at the various participating establishments, and at least 20 are currently on the roster. The totes will be available at Eastman Clock Plaza, and must be ordered in advance. Only a limited number will be on offer for the function.
After a long winter, springtime can provide relief for cooped up kids and their frazzled parents. Banner printing and other decor services for a special occasion can be sourced from an area printer.
The Downtown Cranford Spring Hop will get the season off to an egg-cellent start this Saturday, April 1. It will run from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, and tickets can be purchased online from the Eventbrite listing.
