Clark workshop planned for special needs families
Parents of special needs kids have their own set of challenges, and a Clark workshop later this month will help these moms, dads, and other caregivers prepare for their child’s future.
A local presentation will explore a variety of topics for parents of kids with special needs, and financial planning and guardianship considerations are both on the agenda. The goal is to create a plan that protects the child as they grow to an adult and also encourages them to be as independent as they can, enjoying the best possible quality of life.
The session, which will be led by a spokesperson from Das Law, LLC, will explore how to create a personalized plan geared towards the needs of a specific individual. Navigating the government benefits programs at the federal and state level will be reviewed, and estate planning will be on the slate as well. These give parents peace of mind by knowing their child is protected, even if they are no longer around to help.
A workshop of this type often condenses a lot of information into a small amount of time. A brochure printing company can prepare handouts to distribute so the attendees can continue learning even after a session has drawn to a close.
This introduction to ensuring future financial security for special needs kids is scheduled for Saturday, January 20. It will be on offer at 206 Westfield Avenue.
