Clark fundraiser to help kids cope

Later this month, a Clark area event will make sure there are supports and services available for kids going through a tough time.

This year will see the 11th annual Greta’s Run for Imagine tagged at Roosevelt Intermediate School in Westfield, and all ages and levels of ability are welcome. They can run, walk, or roll their way along the selected route, and there are several ways to get involved.

Those interested can choose from the USATF official 5K route, and there is also a Memory walk and a kids’ fun dash. Southpaw will provide the live entertainment. The path the walkers, runners, and rollers will follow will be lined with signs posted in memory of loved ones lost. Registrations may be made ahead of time or on site on the day of the vent.

Monies raised through the event will be used to support programming for kids coping with grief and loss. As is this case with many fundraisers, this function is made possible thanks to support from the local business community. Many of the sponsors have seen their logo design incorporated into the event’s marketing materials.

The 11th annual Greta’s Run for Imagine will be taking to the street on Sunday, May 19. Its listing on RunSignUp.com provides more information for anyone who would like to register.
