A brand new year is fast approaching, and for Clark, this means it's almost time for a hike that will welcome in 2024.
A group of intrepid hikers will be bundling up and taking to the trails at the Trailside Nature and Science Center for a First Day Hike, and the route followed will be approximately five miles. This may be subject to adjustments depending on the trail’s conditions, along with the weather.
The group will meet up in the parking lot at the venue, and from there, they will head out. The hikers will return to the same location, and if they wish, the participant may choose to keep the festivities going by gathering at a local bar or eatery.
Everyone should wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots, and walking poles are suggested. Water and snacks are also strongly recommended. The hike will have moderate difficulty levels, and will go at a pace that allows the participants time to enjoy the scenery.
