What's Happening in Clark, NJ…

Clark area museum to host holiday-themed fun

A pop-up activity is on the way to the Clark area, where the attendees could be forgiven for thinking they have stepped into the upcoming winter holiday season.

Liberty Hall Museum will be hosting a day of winter-themed fun during the dog days of summer. It will offer insight into how the holidays were celebrated during early days of the community, and reservations are required.

The function, which is open to the whole family, will see its venue decked out with the festive trimmings that would have been popular during the times of the Kean and Livingston families. Kids can see the gifts Santa would have left for youngsters and compare them to the gifts often given today. Games, ornament making and a snack will be included in the session. Tickets for the festivities start at $4 for adults and $10 for kids.

Historically themed events may call for period-style decor, and a poster printing company will be happy to help. It can use wide format printing techniques to prepare everything from banners to cinema posters, all of which can have a vintage look that helps to build the desired atmosphere for an occasion.

Liberty Hall Museum in Union will be offering this taste of the winter holidays on Tuesday, July 25. It will begin at 11:00 am, and run for one and a half hours.
