The New Hampshire SPCA will host its annual Paws Walk this June at Stratham Hill Park. It aims to raise vital funds for animal rescue and rehabilitation services.
Participants will take part in a one-mile walk through the park, followed by an outdoor festival featuring a vendor village, live entertainment, and adoption opportunities with shelter pets. The event is family and dog-friendly.
This year’s campaign includes a $10,000 matching gift pledge from Dr. Peter Gray in honor of his late spouse, Ellen Gray. The campaign had previously secured a $5,000 American Eagle Outfitters donation match. The funds raised will support stories like Cher’s, a dog rescued from a Tennessee shelter who required extensive surgery to restore mobility. She is presently recuperating in foster care, thanks to donor support.
Walk registration includes tiered pricing options: Adult Paws Walker for $35, Adult with T-Shirt for $64, Youth Walker for $25, Youth with T-Shirt for $54, Virtual Walker for $20, Virtual with T-Shirt for $49, and Family of Four with T-Shirts for $125.
The NHSPCA has set a fundraising goal of $130,000. As of this writing, $34,700 has been raised.
Organizations seeking to raise funds may use poster printing as a means to provide the community with information on how they can help with their initiative.
The date and time of the event will be Sunday, June 1st, from 10 am to 2 pm. The walk begins at noon at Stratham Hill Park, 207 Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, New Hampshire.
