The 27th annual Great Bay 5K will take place this fall, continuing its long-standing role as the closing race in the Seacoast Road Race Series, while raising funds for the Great Bay Stewards.
The event draws runners and walkers from across New England, offering a mostly downhill course along the shoreline of the estuary.
In addition to the 5K, the 2025 edition once more features the Virtual Great Bay 55K Challenge. Runners may choose to complete all 55 kilometers in one day or can spread the distance over several sessions between October 1 and 25.
The main 5K starts at 9:00 am on October 25, with wheelchair racers beginning at 8:45 am. Entry for the 5K is $35, although this will increase after August 31. Registration for the 55K is $30, also rising after the end of the month. Online fees apply to both events. Each 5K participant receives a long-sleeve race shirt if registered by October 1, and later signups may claim one if supplies remain. All racers will receive a bib with detachable tabs redeemable at select businesses for free beer or cider.
Organizers may consider flyer printing as a practical way to share details locally and support a stronger turnout for events such as this one.
The in-person 5K is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Stratham Hill Park, Route 33, Stratham.
