Dogs of Stratham receive conduct training

The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NHSPCA) will host a “Polite Greetings” workshop this December in Stratham.

This NHSPCA’s specialized workshop is aimed at helping dog owners teach their pets better manners when meeting new people. The event will focus on curbing a dog's overly enthusiastic behavior by teaching them to have calm interactions during greetings instead of jumping on strangers.

This workshop is designed for adult dogs. It will be instructed by Ashley C and has a limited class size of six students. A class of this capacity will ensure personalized attention and effective hands-on training.

Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs with a harness or flat collar and a standard 6-foot leash. Using retractable leashes, as well as prong, choke, or electronic collars is prohibited during the session. For positive reinforcement, owners should bring ample treats to reward good behavior along with a pouch for easy access to treats during training. Water and appropriate footwear, such as boots or sneakers, are also recommended.

The cost to participate in the event will be $50. Tickets can be purchased through the Sawyer listing.

Brochure printing can be used to promote community courses such as this one.

The date and time of the event will be December 14th from 10:15 am to 11:15 am at 104 Portsmouth Avenue, Training Room, Stratham, New Hampshire.
