North Carolina A&T is in the midst of planning a golf tournament near Kernersville to celebrate Hall of Fame athletes who attended the university.
The NCAT Sports Hall of Fame Golf Tournament is set to begin in a few weeks. It will welcome golfers and university supporters to a friendly competition to raise money for the Hall of Fame while promoting athletic excellence.
The field is open to 120 golfers interested in dusting off their clubs and hitting the links for a good cause. The spots are limited, and participants are encouraged to make their reservations while they last. The event coincides with North Carolina A&T’s 133rd anniversary of providing education to students.
The event is open to sponsors of several levels, with benefits including spots for foursomes, sponsorship signage, and banner printing to build brand awareness and recognition at the tournament. Sponsors will also enjoy a full-page spread in the athletic department’s gameday Flyers and announcements over the public address system.
Sponsors who contribute to the event will put their money toward funding scholarships for student-athletes in need. Interested parties can contact Maseo Bolin for more information.
The Oak Hollow Golf Course will host the tournament on Friday, September 6th. The gates will open at 9:00 AM, and the golf will conclude at 5:00 PM. Single golfers can register for $115 online.
