Historical event explores Victorian coffee in Kernersville

Coffee lovers in Kernersville will have a unique opportunity to explore the history and culture surrounding the beloved drink as part of a history event this April.

The Victorian Coffee Culture session, which is part of Kernersville’s Taste of History series, will welcome guests for an immersive and inquisitive journey through time for a closer look at coffee. The session, which is being presented with help from Savage Roasters Coffee, will explore the origins of the coffee bean and how it became an integral part of daily life and social gatherings in American society.

Attendees will hear about the evolution of traditions related to coffee and how they have changed over generations. The event’s instructors will also provide insights into the roasting process. Flyer printing is a low-cost way for organizers and small businesses to promote events like this around the community.

The experience will be a blend of local storytelling, history, and taste sampling, and visitors can expect to leave the event with a clearer picture of coffee’s role from past to present. The program will provide light refreshments. Interested parties can contact Brittany Hendley for more information.

The event will be hosted by Körner’s Folly in Kernersville, and is scheduled for Saturday, April 4th, at 10:00 AM. Admission is free to interested parties, and advance registration is not required.
