The Piedmont Winterfest is taking place beginning this month and it will continue until next January. It is presented by WFMY News 2.
There are plenty of family-friendly activities planned for the festival, like ice sliding, the kids’ Snow Play Box, and nightly snowfalls. There will be outdoor skating too, for which fees are $10 for adults, $8 for children between the ages of 6 and 12, and $6 for children aged 5 and under. A season’s pass can be purchased for $75 per person. The festival will also feature a live webcam, musical entertainment, and a snack shack.
The grand opening, the Chill Out Block Party, hosted by Chick-fil-A, will take place on November 18 from 4:00 to 10:00 PM. Every Friday, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM, a disco with synchronized lights will take place.
There will also be several other special nights, such as the date night every Thursday where skating is two for the price of one, and Family Fun Day every Sunday where guests can buy two $2 hot chocolates for the price of one.
Organizers may have invested in products such as Banners from Greensboro printing firms to help highlight certain areas of the festival.
