Greensboro celebration to help public go meat free

A festival on the agenda for Greensboro may be just the event for those following a meat-free diet, whether for dietary or ethical reasons.

Vegans, vegetarians, and anyone who would just like to add some more plant-based items to their diet may find that the 4th annual Triad Vegfest has plenty to offer them. It will take place outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine, and food samples will be the order of the day.

A wide variety of vendors of plant-based products will be on site for the public to meet, and they can browse and buy as much as they wish. Entertainment will be provided, and there will be booths set up that offer information and tips for going meat free. It will also be a chance to learn about how to set up a community garden.

The companies and organizations that take part in this type of function often choose to hand out promotional products to the crowd. A printer will have a selection of eco-friendly items that may be used for this.

Greensboro’s Center City Park and Lebauer Park at 200 Elm Street will be welcoming one and all for Vegfest, which has been scheduled for Saturday, June 26. The public is welcome to stop by and check out the celebration in person.
