The 2nd annual Dolley & Me Tea is taking place next month in Greensboro. It is a major fundraiser for the Greensboro History Museum.
The tea is open to people of all ages and guests are encouraged to bring their children (stuffed animals are also welcome). Guests may dress in period costume of the early 1800s if they wish. The event is designed to bring history to life.
Allison Donovan and Kate Pope from The Giving Crusade will be on hand to read some stories. The Giving Crusade is an organization that seeks to inspire children through conversation.
There will also be plenty of food and treats to enjoy during the morning and afternoon, as well as tea of course. Dolley Madison herself will be making an appearance.
There will be craft stations for adults and children and a silent auction. Sponsorships can be purchased from $750 up to $3,500, with sponsors recognized at the event and will be mentioned in the event program that everyone will receive.
Brochure printing firms in Greensboro are often asked to provide the programs needed for events like this one.
The Dolley & Me Tea will be held at the O'Henry Hotel on June 28 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Tickets are $75 per person. To learn more about this event, call 363-372-2982.
