Annual festival promotes food alternatives

The 3rd annual Triad Vegfest is taking place in Greensboro next month.

The festival is dedicated to educating the public about the positives of becoming vegan or vegetarian. To help do this, there will be a few educational booths set up. This is known as the ‘veducation’ series and will feature seminars on topics such as how to start a community garden and convert to a vegan diet. There will also be food samples handed out by various vendors.

In addition to educational booths, artisans will be on hand to sell handmade arts and crafts such as jewelry and artworks, and vendors will be selling clothing and food. There will also be live entertainment and several youth activities.

Booths are still available for rental. The price is $40 for a non-profit organization and $75 for for-profit businesses. The deadline to apply is May 22.

Sponsorships are available and range in price from $40 to $1,000. Sponsors will be recognized through posted Flyers and Banners displayed at the venue. Greensboro Stationery printers are often asked to provide items such as banners and flyers to such events.

The Triad Vegfest will be held at LeBauer Park on June 22 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. For the most up-to-date information about the festival, visit the official event website.
