Fayetteville offers spots in 4th Friday initiative

Fayetteville’s 4th Friday initiative combines live performances with music and other entertainment, and its October installment will put some Halloween shivers into the proceedings.

The downtown shopping district will be transformed into a zombie-themed event, and while the public enjoys the photo ops and other fun, they will be able to shop, patronize eateries, and learn more about the city’s not-for-profit side.

To help make the activity a success, organizers are accepting applications from interested artists, performers, charitable groups, food cart operators, and businesses that would like to get involved. The event will run for three hours on its scheduled date, and the groups that take part will be able to set up an hour ahead of its start time. Breakdown should not begin before 10:00 pm, and the organizers warn that any participants who start early will be disqualified from being part of upcoming installments of the initiative.

A themed shopping party like this can draw attention to a community’s retail district. A banner printing company can offer a range of decor options that can help a function to feel even more festive.

The October installment of Fayetteville’s 4th Friday initiative is set for October 25. The final date to submit an application to join the fun as a vendor, performer, or not-for-profit is Thursday, October 10.
