Fishing is a hobby that can be enjoyed by just about anyone regardless of their age or ability, and a Fayetteville festival will welcome both newbie and experienced anglers.
The Fin-Tastic Fishing Festival will soon take place at the John E. Pechmann Fishing Education Center. Described as being the largest area event of the year geared towards families that fish, the outdoor event will highlight how those who participate in the hobby can play an important role in conservation.
The function will include hands-on activities, and there will be 12 interactive exhibits to explore. Live demonstrations have also been planned. Everyone can learn how to become good environmental stewards, and they are encouraged to bring along their own medium-action rod and reel as well as natural bait (minnows not permitted), although worms and fishing gear will be provided to those who do not have any. The event is catch-and-release only.
Nature focused events that are family friendly may help kids to develop a greater understanding and appreciation for the natural world. Themed Promotional Products, waivers, certificates of thanks for sponsors, and other custom materials for a function can be crafted by a local Print shop.
Fayetteville is set to be treated to some fishy fun on Saturday, June 13, starting at 9:00 am. More information for families who plan on taking part is available on the Distinctly Fayetteville website.
