A Fayetteville workshop is about to create a new crop of home gardeners, and all those who take part should leave with the knowledge they need to find growing success.
The beginner-friendly class coming up at Cape Fear Botanical Garden will cover the basics for those who are new to home horticulture. Facilitated by Chad Shelby, the class may be helpful for guests whether they have a big yard or a pot on their balcony. The registration fee is $17, with a discount available for Garden members.
Attendees will learn how to choose and prepare their soil for planting, and the importance of choosing the right plant for a particular location will also be discussed. Watering and “feeding” the plants will be on the agenda, and everyone will gain hands-on experience with the techniques they will learn. Natural methods of pest control and composting will also be reviewed.
A workshop or other learning session may cover a lot of information in a small amount of time. Additional materials can be prepared to distribute so that the attendees can continue to learn once they have headed home, and Stationery printers will be pleased to help.
Cape Fear Botanical Garden will be helping new gardeners hit the ground running with its Gardening Basics seminar scheduled for Wednesday, March 18. It will begin at 5:30 pm.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
