Fayetteville evening to show why moths matter

While many may be aware that butterflies are helpful pollinators, they may not know their cousins are just as important, and a Fayetteville event will give these night fliers their time in the spotlight.

Cape Fear Botanical Garden will be offering moths a tip of the hat during its Moth Night, which has been scheduled for the later part of July. It will offer a time for people of all ages to learn why moths matter, and it is being held as part of a larger National Moth Week celebration.

The participants in the activity will dissolve the life cycle of moths and the role they pay in the ecosystem. The kids can enjoy a moth-themed story and craft, everyone will find out how they can make their own moth observation station by preparing homemade moth food and a light box. Advance registration has been requested, and tickets are $5 each.

Many people are becoming interested in the environment around them, and themed activities offer a fun way for them to learn more. A poster printing company may prove to be a helpful partner in raising public awareness about an upcoming event.

Cape Fear Botanical Garden will be giving moths their due on July 23. It will be an evening activity, with a scheduled start time of 8:00 pm.
