The annual Taste event returns this year in support of the Montana Food Bank Network. This year’s virtual event will include food from 12 local restaurants and an online cooking competition.
The goal of the 2021 event is to help raise $70,000.00 for families in Montana that rely on the food bank. Each year, families and friends unite to enjoy food and drinks, while supporting local businesses and their community.
Twelve vendors will be featured in this year’s passport, including Big Sky Brewing Company, Bravo Catering, Second Set Bistro, and Sweet Peaks Ice Cream. Passport holders need to visit at least four locations by March 5 to complete their passport and be entered to win raffles and draw prizes.
Passports can be purchased from the event website, ranging in price from $10 to $55. They must be picked up from the food bank. Each passport purchase includes a swag bag that contains a commemorative 2021 Taste glass cup, reusable shopping bag, Promotional Products from event sponsors and local vendors, and rochures on the work completed by the food bank.
The Taste Presents: Chefs Against Hunger cooking competition will be broadcast live on YouTube on March 5 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Three local chefs will use ambient pantry ingredients to create gourmet dishes. The evening will also include a virtual silent auction.
The Montana Food Bank Network is located at 5625 Expressway in Missoula, across from Big Sky Brewing Company. Monetary and food donations will also be accepted.
