Missoula event celebrates popular hobby

A Missoula event taking place in early November is showcasing a physical activity in a fun way.

The 12th Annual Mountain Running Film Festival is an experience which promotes both trail and mountain running. A number of videos showing off the potential, inspiration, and beauty of both disciplines in the state of Montana and beyond. There will also be commentary from the ceremony master, as well as a bunch of prizes to be won.

The money made from the festival will be used to aid Montana Trail Crew in its mission of helping to preserve the natural environments used for runners. MTC is a piece of the organization known as Run Wild Missoula.

The event is put together by Logjam Presents. It is held at one of Logjam’s venues, The Wilma. Tickets are available from Logjam’s website, as well as the box office. The price, including fees and taxes is $18.59.

The venue will be selling drinks and buckets of popcorn. Merchandise for both RWM and MTC will also be for sale. When creating items to sell like this, many organizers will hire a company which specializes in graphic design to help with the creation of eye-catching pieces. The festival will kick off at 7:00pm, after the doors for The Wilma open at 6:00pm. The date for the Missoula event will be November 6th.
