New challenge presented to Missoula area painters

Montana residents from Missoula, Plains, St. Ignatius, and Frenchtown are invited to attend a paint night early next month. Lead by a local art studio, the subject of this class will be a pink flamingo.

Hosted by Tipsy Brush Studio, attendees are encouraged to bring snacks and socialize during this casual and fun event. Painters of all skill levels are welcome to attend, with the studio providing the paints and brushes, as well as a wrapped canvas for each participant. The instructor will provide clear instructions that are easy to replicate with each painter’s unique style and personal touches.

Raette Meredith opened Tipsy Brush in 2014, as a way to nurture a love of art in the local community. Private parties are normally available for up to 32 people, although current safety measures mean this has been reduced to 14.

Each month, Meredith creates at least two new paintings that can be used in Tipsy Brush classes. The party organizer chooses the painting for the event, depending on their desired length of time for the session. An online calendar with available party dates and times is posted on the company website. Tipsy Brush may also use brochure printing as a way of marketing their service to the public.

The Flamingo Paint Night will be held on Wednesday, May 5 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3596, located at 201 Lynch St. Register in advance on the Eventbrite website. Tickets cost $35.00.
