Montana Free Press will organize a social gathering in September at the Missoula Art Museum.
Party With the Press is a program where people can interact with the reporters and supporters of Montana Free Press. The founder and editor-in-chief of the organization, John Adams, will give an address during the gathering. Guests can enjoy music entertainment provided by Tom Catmull, and there will also be a silent auction where people can bid on state-related goods. Light refreshments will be offered to attendees, and each guest will receive a drink voucher.
Montana Free Press is a nonprofit organization that produces public-service journalism. The stories in the publication earned awards from events like the 2022 SPJ NW Excellence in Journalism Contest and the 2023 Montana Better Newspaper Contest. People interested in supporting the group can become members by paying a monthly fee. Those who donate at least $1 per month will receive benefits like access to an exclusive newsletter and invites to the Reporting Journey series.
The event will be on Friday, September 29th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Tickets to the gathering will cost $30 for those who are members of the Montana Free Press. Non-members can pay $40 to attend the event. The price of the general admission ticket includes a basic membership to the organization. Nonprofits that host social events like this may use flyer printing to increase local awareness of their gatherings.
