The Western Montana Fair returns to Missoula next month, offering attendees five days of live shows, carnival rides and barn dances.
The 2021 fair will feature fan favorite shows, including the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Xtreme Bulls competition, on Wednesday, August 11th at 7:00 PM. Forty competitors will attempt to ride bulls for up to eight seconds to win a cash prize of $10,000. Three nights at the fair will feature a Missoula Stampede PRCA Rodeo. The last night of the fair, on Sunday, August 15 will feature a performance by the Lords of Dirt Racing, and Keith Sayers free-style motocross (FMX).
The fair will also include free entertainment, with performances by Dan Dubuque, Wailing Aaron Jennings, MarchFourth Marching Band, Hardwood Heart, Flash Panda, Showdown, The Rage, Vigilante Code, Milltown Damn, and Reverend Slanky.
Admission to the Western Montana Fair is free of charge, thanks to the many sponsors of the event. Daily activities include carnival rides, food and beverage vendors, nightly barn dances, a petting zoo, train rides, mining for fossils and gems, face painting and caricature drawings, a bounce house, water walkers, and rock wall climbing.

The 2021 fair will be held from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Wednesday, August 11 to Sunday, August 15, at the Missoula County Fairgrounds located at 1101 South Avenue West. Carnival ride tickets may be purchased per person, for $35 for a single day pass, or $80 for an all-week pass.
