Runner’s Edge will hold a festive race in December along the paths of Fort Missoula Regional Park.
The Light the Way 5K & 1/2 Mile Kids’ Run is a holiday event where people can run at night along a path illuminated by festive decorations. Participants in the race will receive a custom bib and can take a photo with Santa. Seasonal treats such as hot cocoa and candy canes will be served at the finish line.
Runners can also compete in the event’s 2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Contest by wearing an ugly holiday sweater during the race. A panel of judges will vote on the most hideous outfit once the race is finished. The winner will receive a limited-edition branded sweater.
Runner’s Edge is a store that opened in 2001 to provide the running community in Missoula with footwear and athletic accessories. The staff members of the business can perform a foot analysis to help people find appropriate shoes. The shop’s team has several members, including Meg Brooker, Erin Forde, and Adam Peterman.
The Light the Way 5K will be held on December 17th at 6:00 pm. People may pick up their racing packets from the Runner’s Edge Basement from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on the day of the race. Athletic stores that hold holiday running events like this may use banner printing to promote their programs to outdoor audiences.
