Missoula to organize fundraising race

Run Wild Missoula will be holding a race at Ogren Park in February to raise funds for a local organization.

The Heart Throb 5K is an event where people can celebrate diversity and inclusivity while running through a course on Missoula’s river trail system. The race will benefit The Center, a community organization that provides a safe space where people can focus on self-care, empowerment, and leadership development. Racers may dress in rainbow-colored or red attire to compete in the event’s costume contest.

People who register for the Heart Throb 5K can pick up their race packets before the event at Run Wild Missoula on Friday, February 10. Participants may visit the business between 3:00 pm and 5:45 pm to receive their packets. Those who want to receive a race packet on the day of the event can visit Silver Park between 9:00 am and 9:45 am. The organizers will not be able to give out bib numbers to racers after 9:45 am.

The 5K will be on Saturday, February 11 and will begin at 10:00 am. The registration cost for the race is $25, though discounts are available to participants who register before January 25. Members of Run Wild Missoula can also receive a discount on their event registration. Race organizers for community activities like this may use banner printing to promote their fundraisers.
