The Missoula Hell Gate Elks Lodge will host a multi-day tango festival in September.
The Montana Tango Festival is an experience where fans of dance can watch talented tango performers and learn from professional teachers. This year’s instructors include dancers Adrian Veredice, Roxana Marinoff, and Alejandra Hobert. Several DJs will also be at the event, including Greg Gee, Milton “El Gallo,” and Sage Agbonkhese. People can even participate in yoga sessions led by Julie Rae O’Connor and Lori Chase. An evening milonga will be held at the Second Chance venue.
The festival will hold several activities and courses at the Elks Lodge, Union Club, and Florence Ballroom. Attendees can learn about circular movement, spiral dynamics, role-switching techniques, and improvisation techniques during the event. There will also be a group mushroom hunt with a local guide, light hiking sessions around Missoula, and a fishing trip. Eventgoers can also take part in a pre-fest potluck. A full schedule of events and activities held at the fest is available on the Montana Tango Festival’s website.
The tango festival will be held from September 26 to 29. Those interested in participating in all fest activities can purchase a full pass for $220. People may also buy a single-class ticket for $30. Those who hold dance festivals similar to this can advertise their classes and special guest teachers with flyer printing services.
