Chicks n Chaps will be organizing a rodeo experience for women at the Missoula County Fairgrounds in August.
The Missoula Chicks n Chaps Behind the Chutes Fundraising Event is a program that educates women about the sport of rodeo. During the experience, guests will participate in a hands-on clinic, meet the PRCA rodeo announcer, and explore the bucking chutes. Attendees will also meet with the stock contractor Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics. No live animals will be ridden during the tour, though guests can ride the Mighty Bucky practice equipment.
Participants are asked to bring their photo IDs to the tour and are recommended to bring items like hats and sunscreen. The organizers also suggest attendees wear layers and closed-toed shoes for the rodeo clinic. Attendees may bring cash to buy extra raffle tickets during the fundraiser and additional beverages. All proceeds raised by Chicks n Chaps will be given to local organizations that help those impacted by breast cancer.
The event will be held on Thursday, August 11 from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Once the program is finished, attendees will get to stay in a VIP area during the Missoula Stampede from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Single tickets cost $80 and include a swag bag, trucker hat, heavy appetizers, and VIP parking. Businesses that hold programs like this may give guests promotional Pens to improve their brand familiarity.
