The Max S. Baucus Institute will be offering an educational conference at the University of Montana in Missoula this summer.
The Public Service Academy is a multi-day conference where people can learn how to improve their workplace skills and connect with other industry leaders. The event will be held by the Baucus Institute's Department of Public Admin & Policy, and the theme for this year's seminar is Inspiring Strategies. All participants in the course must create a video presentation detailing how they used an innovative approach in their workplace to enhance their position or address an unmet need.
Several professional trainers will be attending the conference and giving lessons to guests, including Tara Jensen, Selena Beaumont Hill, and Stacey Otterstrom. The topics will include Burnout in Public Service, Talent Management: How to Recruit and Retain Employees, and Navigating a Multigenerational Mindset. Attendees can also take part in a wine and cheese reception to mingle with fellow professionals. Those who attend receptions like this can bring Business Cards to trade with other participants.
The public service conference will be held from Thursday, August 11th to Friday, August 12th at the Alice Lund Instructional Auditorium. General admission costs people $220, while students and faculty at the University of Montana get discounted rates. Registration for the seminar will close on July 31st. All videos for the event must be submitted by July 23rd.
