Missoula event showcases new space with environmental focus
An event next week is set to show off a community space in Missoula, while also placing a spotlight on the natural environment.
Crafting for Climate Resilience is an experience hosted by a pair of organizations – Missoula County and the Missoula Public Library. The event is open to crafters of any medium. Missoula Public Library has a “MakerSpace” where local creatives can work, and this special event aims to increase the awareness of the space and its capabilities.
Attendees can bring whichever craft project they are in the middle of and enjoy working in an environment full of other creative individuals from the local community. The social aspect of the event allows for crafters to share ideas, show off their work, and get a look at the Missoula art scene. Makers will also need to bring the necessary tools for their projects, along with the materials.
In addition to all the socializing and crafting, guests will be able to contribute to the production of a magazine. The topic for the piece is “climate solutions.” A selection of refreshments will be available to everyone using the space. Flyer printing is a popular choice for the promotion of many events put together by the city.
Attendees can enjoy the Missoula event for free next Wednesday, October 1 between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
