Downtown Missoula will organize a community festival in September where people can enjoy many activities.
The River City Roots Festival is a multi-day event with several things to do for visitors. The program will have two concert days featuring groups such as Ashleigh Flynn & the Riveters, Cowboy Andy & the Salamanders, and The Vince Herman Band. There will also be a 4-mile run at the event that is organized by Run Wild Missoula. Numerous food vendors will be available at the fest, like Big Dipper Ice Cream, Mountain Berry Bowls, and Kamoon Arabian Cuisine.
Festival-goers can browse the booths of local artists during both event dates. Many types of art will be represented at the fest, including screen printing, leather work, embroidery, and paintings. There are several jewelry makers attending the event, such as Eye Seek You, Be Thunder Creations, and Riverbed Gems. Some of the artists featured at the community fest include Claire Mannheimer, Jamie Stolba, and Lynde Howe.
The city’s music fest and art show will be held on Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th. There is no cost for guests to enjoy the musicians at the festival. People who want to participate in the festival’s run can register for $40. Discounts are available to those 18 and under. Cities that put together concerts and art fairs like this may use poster printing to get locals interested in their events.
