The Montana Natural History Center will be offering a wreath-making activity in December at its garden in Missoula.
Wreath Making, Montana-Style is a program where people can create beautiful decorations at the Native Plant Garden at Fort Missoula. The experience will start with a tour of the garden to show attendees the venue’s native shrubs and forbs. Guests will forage some of the materials for their wreath in the native plant garden. Christine Morris, a naturalist and community programs coordinator for the Montana Natural History Center, is the instructor and tour guide for the event.
The Native Plant Garden at Fort Missoula is an outdoor learning space that was created in 1999. The garden offers children a safe place to play and has several mini trails for people to use. Those who become a member of the history center will receive free access to the garden and a subscription to Montana Naturalist magazine. The cost of a membership is $35 per person and $60 per household. Corporate memberships can be purchased for $2,500.
The wreathmaking activity will take place on Saturday, December 3 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Members of the history center can pay $40 to join the event, and non-members must pay $45. Educational groups similar to this may market their seasonal programs to the community by utilizing poster printing.
