Annual auction to support nature education

The 2021 Montana Natural History Center (MNHC) Banquet and Auction will be held in Missoula next month. The event will be an outdoor celebration of the center’s 30 years of educational programming and nature conservation efforts.

The evening fundraiser will include both online and in-person auctions, a banquet dinner and drinks, raffle prizes, and live entertainment including art demonstrations and music by the Night Blooming Jasmines. Auction items will include original artwork, handmade crafts, and travel packages. The online auction will open in advance of the fundraiser, and the live auction will be hosted during the banquet by auctioneer Katie Cashman Fitzsimmons. Proceeds from both of the auctions will be in support of the nature programming offered throughout the year at the MNHC.

The MNHC is open daily, offering programming for nature lovers of all ages, including certification courses, summer camps, elementary school visits, museum tours, and nature exhibits. The center also publishes a 28-page, full color magazine called the Montana Naturalist in the spring and fall. Professional printing services are commonly used to produce publications such as these.

The 30th annual event will be held on Saturday, September 18 at 5:00 PM, at the Ogren Park Allegiance Field, located at 700 Cregg Lane in Missoula. Tickets must be purchased in advance of the fundraiser, at $70 per person, or $500 for a table of 10 guests. Tickets include Hors d’Oeuvres, dinner, drinks, and dessert. Tax receipts for donations will be issued for the amount paid for auction items in excess of the fair market value.
