Wentzville’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza will celebrate the season at the beginning of April with three events.
A One-Mile Fun Run and a professionally timed 5K Bunny Run are scheduled from 5:30 am to noon. The actual race will begin at 7:00 am. The course will take runners around Heartland Park, and swag will include racing shirts with the Bunny Run graphic design, water stations on the course, and snacks and drinks after the run. Registration is $30 before race day and $35 on race day. Awards for the 5K will be given to the top three female and male finishers, and to the top female and male finishers in each of nine age divisions.
A community egg hunt in the park will begin at 9:30 am with fields reserved for five age groups. Preregistration is $5 per child and registration will go up to $10 on race day. After the hunt the venue will have festivities including photos with the Easter bunny and live entertainment.
Pictures taken with the Easter Bunny often are taken to local Stationery printers to be used on custom Easter cards.
Dogs on leashes can find bones, doggie treats and toys at the Bone Hunt at Rotary Park. Every dog will leave with a special “Doggie Bag.”
