Wentzville arts council holds shows

Crossroads Arts Council here in Wentzville will be presenting two gallery art shows - one in January and one in February.

The 11th Annual Spanning the Generations Art Show will feature 2D and 3D works from 9th to 12th graders. All media will be accepted. Artists will be allowed to enter up to three pieces. Art will either be for sale or tagged NFS (not for sale). Cash prizes and honorable mention ribbons will be awarded at the Public Art Reception on Sunday, January 4 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 p.m.

The show will run the month of January, beginning at 11:00 am on January 1 and ending on the January 31 at 3:00 pm.

Starting right out on February 1, the gallery will start its annual Spanning the Generations Arts Show for nonprofessional adults. Artists must be 18 and over and all media will be accepted. Each artist may enter up to three pieces. Honorable mention ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded at a ceremony and reception to be held on Sunday, February 1 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Artwork will be for sale unless marked NFS. The Crossroad Arts Council will receive 15% of all sales.

These two art shows will be on the lower level at 310 W Pearce. Stationery printers can receive photos of original artwork and Print them on custom note card sets or Holiday Cards.
