Wentzville will be celebrating Wentzville's America 250 with a parade, art show, concerts and fireworks in June and July.
A Salute to Our Flag will be next Wednesday, June 10 from 9:00 am to 10:10 am at the Wentzville Rec Center 500 Great Oaks Boulevard. Rotary Park will hold a free outdoor concert on Saturday, June 13 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The venue will also have food trucks and kids' activities. On Saturday, June 27, historic downtown will host an Historical Scavenger Hunt, which will begin and end at Elibee's General Store, 6 W Main.
Organizers for scavenger hunts like this often have their paper products, such as maps and location markers, printed at local Print shops.
July's event will begin with an America 250 Art Display at the Wentzville Rec Center running from July 2 to July 31. Another America 250 Art Show will be running from July 2 to July 26 at the Crossroads Art Center, 310 W Pearce Boulevard. The Art Center will have a receptions and award ceremony on Sunday, July 12 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The big day itself will begin with the 4th of July Parade running from 10:00 am to 11:00, and fireworks will shoot off at 9:30 pm at Rotary Park, 2577 W Meyer Road in Foristell.
After the July 4 activities, Wentzville Community Club, 500 W Main will hold a free concert from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Saturday, July 18.
