Wentzville plans annual Fourth of July events

Plans for the annual Wentzville's Fourth of July Celebration are underway. This year's theme will be "America's Celebration."

The City of Wentzville 4th of July 2024 parade will begin at the Wentzville Ice Arena, 910 Main Plaza Drive with entries lining up beginning at 8:00 am. The parade units including businesses, organizations, federal, state, county and city officials, and not-for-profits will step off at 10:00 am. The procession will go south on Luetkenhaus Boulevard, turn west (right) onto W. Pearce Boulevard and will end at the intersection of Allen and Pierce at City Hall.

Floats will be judged for Mayor's Choice, first second places for Best-Themed Entry and first, second and third place for Overall.

Float registration will end June 7th, and a mandatory meeting for one representative from each participating parade unit will be Wednesday, June 19th at 6:00 pm at the Wentzville Recreation Center, 500 Great Oaks Boulevard.

Larger organizations that enter floats in parades like this often get some banner printing done before the big day so they can have Banners either in front or on the floats introducing them to the spectators.

Fireworks will begin at 9:30 pm at Progress Park, 908 Meyer Road. Everyone is invited to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the free show.

The 4th of July Celebration parade and fireworks will be on Thursday, July 4th.
