Wentzville brings light to holiday season

Wentzville Holiday Night Lights will be opening at the end of this month.

Holiday Night Lights has become a tradition here in Wentzville with its one mile of flickering light tunnels and huge illuminated commercial scenes.

Drive-through admission will be $10 for up to six occupants per vehicle and $1 per extra passenger. The Holiday Night Drive-thru will be open from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm beginning next Friday, November 24, and ending December 30.

A walk-through has been scheduled where guests can slow down and enjoy a stroll through the scenes, lights, displays, and carolers. Guests may end their experience by going into the Kolb Building to enjoy the Christmas trees decorated and donated by local organizations and businesses, and visiting Santa. This will be Monday, December 11 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.

Sleigh rides will be available Mondays and Wednesdays from November 27 to December 28. The tractor-pulled hay-filled sleigh can hold up to 25 people and groups may reserve a ride for $130. Amenities include hot chocolate and cookies around a firepit. The rides around Rotary Park will be at 6:00 pm, 6:45 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:15 pm, and registration is required with two weeks’ notice.

Group pictures taken at festive events like this often go to local Print shops to be included in the organization’s newsletter.

Santa will be visiting with everyone in the Kolb Building’s Winter Wonderland on Saturdays from November 25 through December 23.
