The Wentzville Planning & Zoning Commission has recently announced that it will consider a proposal for the building of a multi-tenant plaza. The building location would be on Whisper Creek Drive and would be named Whisper Creek Plaza.
In keeping with the architecture of nearby buildings, the plans call for a building constructed with dormers to give a residential appearance to the plaza. The building
will also include brick that is consistent with the structure of the firehouse located nearby.
If the proposal goes through, the plaza could hold a variety of business but limitations are in place due to local zoning which they do not plan to change. This includes retails stores, service companies and a limited variety of repair businesses. Businesses considering occupying the building would likely hang Banners along their storefronts to notify residents they are open. Start-up businesses would benefit from obtaining Logo Design and other marketing services from a local Print company.
Those wishing to consider occupying the plaza should review the zoning requirements on the cities website. Examples of the types of businesses that would be approved would include beauty shops, small services offices such as accounting and real estate offices. The zoning could also allow florists, bakeries, antique and book stores to name a few.
The Board of Alderman will have final approval if the Planning and Zoning Commission passes the proposal for the building, which will be approximately 10,000 square feet.
