What's Happening in Wentzville, MO…

Light show to be set in Wentzville

A display of holiday cheer and wonder will be available for Wentzville residents to visit during the season, starting in late November.

The Holiday Night Lights Drive-Thru is an annual tradition, put on at the Wentzville Rotary Park. The experience is a mile long, and guests have the option to drive through it, or choose a day featuring a sleigh or carriage ride. There is also a day for walking around the display, as well as a 5k walk/run and parade. On some days, attendees will be able to visit Santa.

Parts of the light display include tunnels and commercial pieces. Flyer printing is often used in promotion of community events like this.

Both the sleigh and carriage rides are of limited availability. Those who plan on using either service are required to register online prior to the date they select, with at the sleigh ride requiring registration at least two weeks in advance. Participants in the run will be given a sweatshirt, snacks, and a medal. Prior registration is also needed for this event.

Santa will be available for pictures in a transformed winter wonderland inside the Kolb Building on Saturdays, along with some real reindeer.

Tickets cost $10 for cars with up to six people, and an additional $1 for every extra person. The park will be open from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm each day for the light show, from November 26 to December 30. The only days the driving piece will not be open are December 13 and December 25, with the latter seeing the display closed entirely for Christmas Day.
