Knights of Columbus to hold annual 7k run

Wentzville’s Knights of Columbus will hold its annual Patriot Day Run in September. The run will be in honor of the victims of 9/11 and all military and first responders.

Swag will include challenge coins and technical shirts sporting the event’s graphic design. Vendor booths will be set up at the finish line and many will offer complimentary beverages and food.

Registration for the 7k will be $30 until July 14, $35 from then until August 29, and $40 from August 30 to race day. The untimed one-mile fun run will cost $35. A Virtual Runner option will be $25 until July 4, and $30 from July 5 through race day.

Proceeds will go to the USO of Missouri and Backstoppers, Inc. The latter is an organization that provides support and financial assistance to dependent children and spouses of fallen firefighters, police officers, and paramedics. It also offers support for first responders suffering from injuries received while performing their duties. The organization is currently supporting 95 families and provides about $2.5m annually.

USO of Missouri, a non-profit organization, supports troops by providing recreation, welfare and morale to military families and personnel.

Knights of Columbus Patriot Day Run 2023 will take place Sunday, September 10 beginning at 8:00 am at Wentzville City Hall Complex, 1001 Schroeder Creek Boulevard.
