Wentzville's Crossroads Arts Council is presenting its 9th Annual “Spanning the Generations” Art Show. The adult show will be in February and the student one will take place in March.
The February show will feature professional and non-professional artwork. All media are welcome. Honorable mention ribbons and cash awards will be distributed at the opening reception on Sunday, February 4 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Artists are limited to three 2-D or 3-D pieces and the entry fee is $5 per piece for members and $10 for non-members. Pieces may be for sale or marked “not for sale,” with 10% of sales going to the Council.
The adult art show will be from February 1, beginning at 11:00 am, to February 29 at 3:00 pm.
The show for artists in grades 9 through 12 will also be judged with cash awards and honorable mention ribbons given out at the opening reception, which is Sunday, March 3 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The same 10% commission applies for artists wishing to sell their work. This show will open March 1 at 11:00 am, and close March 31 at 3:00 pm.
Winners of art shows like these often have pictures taken of themselves and their artwork before taking them to local Print shops for duplicate Copies for relatives and friends.
