The venue has announced weekly events it calls ‘Art Experience Camps’, which will keep children interested and enable them to complete a creative project.
The camps will be held weekly; each is a week long, and each camp is different. For example, the camp that starts the week of June 1 deals with painting and drawing. Children attending this camp will explore various techniques, including how to mix color, texture, pattern, and lines. The youngsters will also create original cartoons and anime characters.
The camps run from June through the start of August, and include drawing, painting, and sculpture camps, as well as fencing and theater camps. Information on the offerings is available on the city’s website, including the subjects, prices, and full-day and half-day options. Prices vary by subject matter and materials required, and there is a discount for residents.
The camps will meet in the Cultural Arts Centre, which is located in St. Peters City Hall, in the west wing, and pre-registration is required.
City officials might consider working with a flyer printing company on a mailer for St. Peters’ residents, describing the camps.
