Three Halloweens in store for Arnold
Halloween will be a treat for Arnold families with little ones as they frequent Pocus Pomme, a Pumpkin Festival and Trunk or Treat coming in early and mid-October.
From 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, October 5th, Pomme Creek Park at 1 Golfview Drive will have its annual Pocus Pomme. The evening will include hayrides, a costume contest with prizes, the Halloweentown movie, food and drinks for purchase. Personal fire pits will cost $60.
On Friday 18th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Compass Health will be sponsoring the town's annual free Trunk or Treat at the Fox Elementary Parking Lot. Little ones are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes and bring bags to collect goodies as they walk from car to car. To add ambience to the occasion, each car trunk will be decorated with spooky black and orange cats, pumpkins, skeletons, and other Halloween finery.
Pictures taken of children and adults dressed in Halloween costumes often go to local stationery printers to become part of custom-made note card sets and Halloween greeting cards.
The next morning, Saturday, 19th, the Pumpkin Festival at the Arnold Farmer Market, 2400 Bradley Beach Road, will feature live music, baked goods, soaps, candles, honey, eggs, meats and vegetables from more than 60 vendors. The festival will run from 8:00 am to noon.
