Many here in Arnold will be heading over to the annual Kimmswick Strawberry festival coming for two days in June.
The City of Kimmswick plans the event every year at the height of strawberry season. Every year attendees look forward to strawberry desserts such as shortcake, strawberry drinks including lemonade, strawberry jellies, jams and pantry items, candy and snacks, baked goods, strawberry-themed handmade goods and merchandise.
Festivals dedicated to special food items such as strawberries usually have Print shops put representations of the item on event Promotional Products such as shirts, stickers and sweat bands.
More than 125 vendors have been invited to line city streets for shopping for crafts, accessories and designer items. Some booths will cater to kids with face painting, toys, accessories and clothing.
The booths will be located next to the city park where kids may play, and everyone can take a break sitting at the picnic tables.
The annual Strawberry Pancake Breakfast will take place in Rotary Park, and the Strawberry Shortcake Buffet will be in John Rodgers Hall.
Live music will be provided by local bands, and free parking will be available at the ballpark on Highway K and at Windsor High and Intermediate schools parking lots. Shuttle buses will be running from the schools to the festival.
The Kimmswick Strawberry Festival will take place June 6th and 7th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm in Kimmswick.
