As spring transitions into summer, Oakdale gardeners have been asked to make their plant choices with local wildlife in mind. An upcoming plant sale can make creating a creature friendly garden a whole lot easier, and it can be a great chance to snag both some native plants and gardening advice.
At least six growers from the local area will be included in this year’s Landscape Revival Native Plant Expo and Market. All of the perennials, shrubs and other items will be native to the area and safe for butterflies, bees, and other pollinators.
As well as providing the gardening public with an opportunity to purchase some new additions for their yard, this event will connect them with an assortment of organizations that focused on conservation. The attendees can stop by their booth or display to learn about what they can do to give Mother Nature a helping hand, and many of the participating not-for-profit groups will be distributing Promotional Products to the crowd.
One of the advantages of attending this sort of function is that it can be a chance for gardeners to learn and add to their skillset, and provides a fun way to give area green thumbs a place in which to connect.
The 2020 Landscape Revival Native Plant Expo and Market will be helping to add a touch more green to the local landscape on June 13. It is scheduled to be held at Oakdale City Hall.
