Oakdale is set to roll out the welcome mat for a special holiday guest, and since his sleigh is getting ready for his night of delivering toys, he will be using a different form of transport.
Santa has given his reindeer the day off so he can pay a visit to Oakdale families. There are five stops on his route, and there is no fee to take part.
The community’s fire services will be transporting the Big Guy in Red in high style, as he will arrive for his visits in a fire truck. He will make stops at venues along Hadley Avenue, and families are encouraged to bundle up in warm clothing and head for one of the stops. The truck will be all decked out in holiday decor, and the schedule runs from 6:00 pm until 7:35 pm. Each stop will last for approximately 15 minutes.
Communities across the country have special Kris Kringle-themed activities in store for the holiday season. Whatever mode of transport he chooses to take, it will often be decorated with Banners and other items prepared by a banner printing company.
The schedule of Santa stops for his fire truck visit starts at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 11 at North Fire Station. A full schedule can be viewed on the community's website.
