“Kitten season” is a busy time for feline rescue and rehoming groups, and one that serves the Oakdale area has planned a special fundraising party.
Those looking for a fun Mother's Day activity, or those who just want to show some support to cats in need, are welcome to drop by Pet Haven Headquarters in St. Paul to be part of its Kitten Shower. It will help to ensure that kitten foster families have the items they need, and it will run for two hours.
To get involved, the public has been asked to choose a gift from the event’s wish list/registry, then ship it or bring it to the event, along with proof of purchase. There will be kittens to cuddle, crafts, games, photo ops, and special “mom-osas” to sip on. Everyone can adopt a stuffed kitten.
One of the ways an organization can ensure a fundraiser will meet its goals is by making it fun. Stationery printers will be happy to help by supplying custom design items such as stuffed animal “adoption certificates,” as well as stickers and other products for the kids.
