A special guest has made plans to come to Oakdale to mark the start of the winter holiday season, and kids of all ages are invited to come out and bid him a warm welcome.
Santa will be paying the community a visit, and the local fire department will be giving this guest of honor a ride in one of its own fire trucks. The vehicle will proceed along Hadley Avenue and, as it goes, will be making a series of stops so he can visit with the kids. The truck will be decorated with colorful twinkling lights for the occasion, and when they come out to see Santa, the children can also bring along a letter to Santa to drop off at one of the mailboxes that have been set up for this at Oakdale City Hall and the Oakdale Discovery Center.
This community event is being offered free of charge, and all those who are interested are welcome to take part. Preregistration is not required, and each of the stops will last for approximately 15 minutes. Banners and other holiday decorations, as well as branded Promotional Products for an event like this can be provided by a local printer.
