The Oakdale Chamber of Commerce and other local organizations have chosen to serve as sponsors for a special event planned by Oakdale Recreation.
The Discovery Center has scheduled its Winter Wonderland gathering for December, and it will be free to attend. There will be activities for nearly every age and interest, and many of the options will be hands-on.
People who include the celebration in their plans will be able to meet some friendly farm animals in the petting zoo, and they can stop by one of the stations to make a holiday craft. Bonfires will be blazing, and s’mores will be on the menu. Santa is on the guest list, and a candy cane hunt, Dogs of Winter, holiday face painting, and a breakfast and lunch are all in the works.
Any community celebration held outdoors is likely to mean that any decor use will need to be able to withstand exposure to the elements. A banner printing company will be happy to help.
The Oakdale Chamber of Commerce and the other supporters of this special occasion have made arrangements to host it on Saturday, December 21. Further information about the activity can be found on the local government’s website. The schedule for the day opens at 10:00 am, and it will continue on until 1:00 pm.
