Farmer‘s markets are often limited to the warmer months, but Oakdale will be turning that idea on its head when it hosts a series of pop up outdoor shopping parties.
The city’s Indoor Market initiative will take place on selected Saturdays from mid-December until late March. They will each be open to the public for four hours, and the Discovery Center will be the venue for these activities.
Admission to the markets will be free for shoppers, and they will make it simple and convenient for the public to show some love to local small businesses. Canned and baked goods as well as a wide assortment of other value added food products will be available, and meat will also be on offer. Area artisans and crafters will have goods for sale, and community groups will also be invited to participate.
The organizers of these pop ups explained that they are interested in hearing from local vendors that feel the markets are a good fit for them. The deadline to submit an application is October 11th. Packaging supplies, Business Cards and other items for a direct selling occasion can be prepared by a business card printing company.
The 2024 -2025 season for the Oakdale Indoor Market runs from November 16th to March 22nd. They will all start at 9:00 am, and the doors will remain open until 1:00 pm.
